The Keyboard Wizard is Chicago-based composer Michael Walthius, whose compositions have been featured on the internet, radio, and television for more than 20 years. Michael's clients include Yamaha Corporation, WebTV, Advanced Micro Devices, Creative Labs, and British Petroleum. A past receipient of an award for the best music on the internet from The Microsoft Network, Michael's original compositions have been featured on America Online and the internet since 1994. His original synthesizer videos on YouTube and Vimeo have been watched more than 1.2 million times.
Michael's music is an eclectic mix of genres, including jazz, rock, electronic, dance, pop, classical, new age, and world music. His favorite composers and recording artists include Dave Grusin, Miles Davis, Weather Report, John McLaughlin, Thomas Dolby, William Orbit, Claude Debussy, and Aaron Copeland.Michael is a classically-trained pianist and composer.
